Journey Coaching

Coaching is not counseling.

What is Journey Coaching?

First of all, it is important to understand that coaching isn’t counseling nor is it mentoring.  It is about helping people’s passion be revealed and helping them get in touch with those passions.  Proverbs 20:27 says, “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts.”   When faced with a delimina, many times, people need someone to ask the right questions.  These “God questions” as I like to call them, dig through to discover the treasure.  Jesus was the master of asking “God questions.”   The first question recorded that Jesus asked is found in Matthew 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth.  But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor?  Can you imagine the thought process of his audience when he asked this question? They understood the value of salt.  Salt was to them what crude oil is to us today.  Salt was so valuable that soldiers were paid in salt, thus the term, “worth your salt.”  So the first thing that Jesus did in asking this question was to establish their value.

In Journey Coaching you will discover focus and meaning, balance, productivity, and fulfillment: help for your journey.

Questions to ponder…

“What kind of work do I want to do?”

“What do I want more of and what do I want less of?”

“Where is one place I would like to go?”

“What is one important dream I’d like to accomplish?”

“If I could change one thing in the world, what would I change?”

(I love it when the client has that light bulb moment!)
